Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you service?

We're hyperlocal and travel by bike, so we keep things close to home. We currently service Thornbury, Northcote, Brunswick, Brunswick East and Fitzroy North.

Do you bring your own tools?

Yes, we arrive fully equipped with everything we need to care for your garden.

Can you remove green waste?

Depending on your garden, we compost it on site, place it in your green bin, or neatly bag it for the intermittent council collection.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as we can access your garden, you don't need to be home. You will receive a text reminder a day ahead of the visit. We'll always let you know when we've been, with a report of what work has been completed.

How do you take payment?

Payments are handled securely through Pinch Payments. We keep a card on file and invoice on the day of service.

What's included in the Grow package?

Regular maintenance visits, mowing and edging, weeding and pruning, organic gardening methods, plus optional add-ons. See The Grow Package for the full list.

What's the minimum commitment?

Grow is an ongoing subscription with a three month minimum commitment that we'll confirm with you when you join.

How does the waitlist work?

Grow spots are limited on purpose, it's what keeps the service personal and hands-on. New clients join via a waitlist, and while we can't guarantee a place in the next intake, we'll reach out personally if a spot opens up for you. Add your details through the waitlist form and we'll keep them on file until then.

When is the next intake?

Our next intake opens in Spring, from 1 September 2026. Because spots are limited, a place isn't guaranteed, but we'll be in touch as soon as we know what's available. Seasonal and one-off work is also waitlist-based and offered as our capacity allows.

What happens after I enquire?

You'll receive a confirmation email setting out what to expect. Grow enquiries go onto our waitlist, and if a spot opens up, you'll hear from us directly. If nothing's available right away, we'll keep your details on file for the next opportunity.

Will I have the same gardener every time?

You'll be looked after by our small, regular team, so you won't get a stranger each visit. The exact gardener may vary depending on the week and the round, but we keep notes on your garden, so whoever comes knows its history and what it needs.

What happens in winter, when there's less growing?

Your garden still needs care in the cooler months. Pruning, weeding, mulching, planning and seasonal tidying all keep it healthy and ready for spring. Your visits and subscription continue year-round, with the work shifting to suit the season rather than stopping.

Can I pause or cancel?

After your initial 3-month minimum, Grow continues month to month. You can cancel anytime with 2 weeks' notice. Need to pause for travel or a quiet stretch? Get in touch and we'll work something out.

What if my suburb isn't on your list?

Because we travel by bike, we keep our rounds close to home. If you're just outside, drop us a line. We're always mapping new routes and would love to know there's interest nearby.

This is cool — can I work with you?

We'd love to hear from good people who like gardening and riding. Head to our Work With Us page rather than the enquiry form, and tell us a bit about yourself.
